Client Transportation
Policies

At LightRide Inc., we take pride in offering safe, reliable, and professional transportation for clients throughout Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Avondale, Buckeye, Surprise, Peoria, Sun City, and the greater Phoenix Metro area. Our transportation policies are designed to keep every ride organized, predictable, and comfortable while ensuring that clients, caregivers, and drivers all have a clear understanding of what to expect.

These guidelines help us maintain the highest level of service across all non-emergency medical transportation, wheelchair transport, ambulatory rides, and private black truck service in the West Valley.

Clients are encouraged to schedule their trips ahead of time so we can guarantee availability and assign the proper vehicle and driver. Providing complete information—such as mobility needs, appointment details, and special assistance requirements—helps us ensure a smooth experience.

We do our best to accommodate same-day transportation when possible, but advanced notice always results in better service and more reliable pickup options.

Pickup Expectations & Safety

Our drivers aim to arrive as close to the scheduled pickup time as possible. Since traffic and conditions vary, we operate within a reasonable pickup window to keep the day running smoothly for every client.

When the driver arrives, they will make every effort to connect with the passenger. Being ready at the scheduled time helps keep appointments on track, especially for medical visits that run on strict schedules.

Arizona has unique weather conditions, including extreme heat, dust storms, and heavy traffic during peak times. If weather or road conditions cause delays, clients will be contacted right away with updated timing and instructions.

Safety is always our top priority, and we may adjust transportation plans if travel conditions become unsafe.

LightRide Inc. provides door-to-door assistance, helping clients from their front door into the vehicle and ensuring they arrive safely at their destination. Drivers can assist with balance support, opening doors, and guiding clients carefully into the vehicle.

For safety reasons, drivers are unable to lift passengers or provide medical care. If a client needs physical transfers or medical monitoring, we ask that a caregiver or family member accompany them.

All mobility devices should be in safe working condition so they can be secured properly inside the vehicle. Our wheelchair-accessible vehicles include securements and safety systems to keep every ride stable and comfortable. Clients are responsible for bringing and managing their personal belongings. Drivers can assist with small items, but larger pieces of equipment or multiple bags may require support from a caregiver.

If you will be traveling with medical devices—such as oxygen tanks, walkers, or portable equipment—please inform us ahead of time so the correct vehicle can be assigned.

Additional Transportation Policies

To create a safe and pleasant environment for everyone, we ask that all passengers maintain respectful and appropriate behavior while riding with us. Eating, smoking, and disruptive behavior should be avoided during transport.

Seatbelts must be worn at all times, and passengers should remain seated until the vehicle comes to a complete stop.

Clients who require additional support are welcome to travel with a caregiver or companion. There is no added charge for this, but please let us know during booking so we can reserve the necessary space in the vehicle. LightRide Inc. accepts a variety of payment options, including private pay, facility accounts, and approved third-party programs. Payments for private transportation may be required at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.

If your facility or program covers transportation, please confirm eligibility before scheduling your ride so billing can be processed correctly.

We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel a ride, letting us know as early as possible ensures we can adjust the schedule and open that time slot for another client.

If a driver arrives and the passenger is not available, or if the trip is canceled at the last moment, it may be considered a missed trip. This helps us maintain fairness for clients who are also waiting for transportation throughout the day.

LightRide Inc. was built on a foundation of service, safety, and respect. With experience rooted in firefighting, paramedicine, and community leadership, we are committed to delivering dependable transportation that clients and families can trust.

Our policies are in place to keep every ride efficient, secure, and stress-free. If you ever have questions about procedures or need help planning transportation, our team is always ready to assist.
